“I Am the Resentful Son”"

i am like the younger son a lot of the time–resentful, jealous of what other people have, never appreciative of what i have. the truth is i have more than most. a friend of mine commented to me the other day: “you live in in one room, with basically nothing-little money, little material goods, and yet you have all the friends in the world, you have a great job, and you are happy.” and she is right. i am happy, and i have everything anyone could want–so why be resentful and jealous of others–that is the question of the young son, and that is the question we all should asked–for if we all have enough, then all of us will have enough.
